How I started working with Sarz – Niniola Spills

Niniola, a Nigerian singer, reveals insights on her music career, including the inspiration for her early partnership with renowned producer Sarz.

In a recent interview with Pulse NG, Niniola stated that her motivation to pursue music sprang from receiving notoriety through participation in music competitions.

Niniola revealed that her early work with Sarz was influenced by his reputation as Nigeria’s top producer.

“After jumping from one music competition to another, I landed on Project Fame and decided to make music my career,” she told me.

Ninola continued, “I sought out the top Nigerian music producers, and Sarz was at the top of the list. That is how I reached out to him.”

Not long ago, it was revealed that Teni had a stringe relationship with her sister Niniola while growing up.

Teni Apata recently told a beautiful story about her connection with her sister, Niniola, on the Tea With Tay podcast. Initially, they had a misconception about Teni’s singing voice.

However, as they went on a joint musical adventure, their friendship grew stronger, and they became each other’s greatest supporters.

Teni and her sisters had many rehearsals together as children. Their elder sister, Doyin, appreciated Teni’s lovely voice, but Niniola had a different opinion. She thought Teni’s voice lacked sweetness.

Teni assumed Niniola was jealous of her talent due of this disagreement. Niniola approached Teni one day and spoke with her sincerely.

She warned Teni not to be misled by Doyin’s adulation, pointing out that she sung from her stomach.

Teni was intrigued by Niniola’s instruction and began analysing her sister’s singing approach, which she later incorporated into her performances.

This conversation represented a watershed moment in their relationship, as Teni realised Niniola’s criticism stemmed from genuine concern and a desire to help her develop as a vocalist.

Teni had a memorable occasion when she performed at a school event. The entire school applauded, leaving Teni feeling elated and accomplished.
