King Promise Biography & Net Worth
Gregory Bortey Promise Newman popularly known by his stage name King Promise is a young Ghanaian artist and songwriter. His genre of music is very diverse and can be categorized as Afrobeats, HighLife, R&B, and Hip-Hop. His style of music is making a mark in the hearts of every Ghanaian and also across Africa, making it impossible for him to be ignored.
Early Life
He was born on the 16th of August, 1995 to Mr. Francis Newman, a businessman, and Mrs. Angela Quaye, from Nungua in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana. King promise did his primary and part of his secondary education at St. Anthony Academy in Accra Ghana. After that, he transferred to the Nungua Senior High School where he got his senior school certificate. He went on to the Central University of Ghana in 2016 and graduated with a degree in Economics and Information Studies. Despite his academic success, he has concentrated on music ever since.

Career
The multi-talented songwriter and musical genius released his first single in 2016 titled ‘Thank God’ with featured artist Fuse ODG and was produced by Killbeatz. He is signed with producer Killlbeatz’s Record Label, Legacy Life Entertainment (LLE). Gervin Ohene Addo currently manages the label.
He has worked with other great talents in the Music Industry such as Mr. Eazi, Scientific, J-Town, Adina, Pappy Kojo, Fuse ODG, and many more. His feature on DJ Vision’s song titled “Double Trouble” alongside Sarkodie was a hit. It was rated on the radio charts for weeks rated as a hit by many DJs and professionals in the music industry.
Girlfriend
In 2018, King Promise revealed that he had never had a Girlfriend. According to him, he preferred staying at home to going out on dates. The first time he has ever gone on a date was in 2015, and he had only done it twice since then. According to King Promise, he was too busy to go on dates. Presently, there have been no claims proving otherwise.

Through his first hit single, he received awards and nominations. Some notable awards include his award for the “Hiplife Song Of The Year” at the 3Music Awards 2019. He has also won Best Male Vocalist at Ghana Music Awards UK. In 2018, he was nominated at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards for the categories of Artiste of the Year and Highlife Song of the Year. He has also won the Best discovery Music Award at the 4 Syte TV Music Video Awards for his song “Thank God.”
