Chuck Todd is an American television journalist who is the current anchor of NBC’s Meet the Press. He is also the moderator of MTP Daily on MSNBC. To add, he is also the Political Director for NBC News. Prior to taking charge of Meet the Press, Todd worked as the Chief White House correspondent for NBC and also served as the anchor of The Daily Rundown on MSNBC. He is also NBC News’ on-air political expert for “Today” and “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt”.

Chuck Todd, born Charles David Todd, is the son of Stephen Randolph Todd and Lois Cheri (née Bernstein). He was born on April 8, 1972, in Miami, Florida, United States.

Todd is Jewish on his mother’s side and was brought up in the Jewish religion.

He attended Miami Killian Senior High School in Kendall, a suburban community in greater Miami. After that, he advanced to George Washington University where he declared a minor in music and a major in political science, but did not earn a degree.

Todd holds an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree, presented by Marymount University in recognition of his contributions to journalism.

Professional Life: Broadcasting Career

Earlier on in his college days, Todd had decided that he would venture into the path of politics and journalism. He did not relent in the pursuit of his goals and this is one of the driving forces of his career.

Todd needed some first-hand experience to get into a politically charged field. He got himself involved in different political initiatives and campaigns while in college. In1992, he participated in a political campaign that was held in the capital city of Washington D.C. His work, at that time, was connected to the presidential campaign of Senator Tom Harkin.

In college, while trying to garner experience in the political field, Todd also tried his hands on a few other things. He spent some time working as a part-time employee at The Hotline, an organization that was run by the National Journal.

As his reputation grew, Todd bettered his role at The Hotline where he continued to work from 1992 to 2007, by the end of which he had occupied the position of editor-in-chief at the company for a total period of six years. He also anchored Hotline TV along with John Mercurio. He also appeared on several political talk shows as a guest, including Inside Politics.

In 2007, Tim Russert, decided to give Todd a chance to work at NBC, where he joined and worked as a political expert. Part of his duties at the station included providing NBC News with political examination and breakdown on a number of its programs.

In 2008, Todd took over from David Gregory as a White House Correspondent.

Kristian is a communications professional. She is a co-founder of Maverick Strategies and Mail, a company that provides consulting services and direct mail for progressive causes and Democratic candidates. She was the speaker for the successful United States Senate campaign of Jim Webb in 2006.

A known believer of the Jewish religion, Todd is a congregant in the Reform congregation of Temple Rodef Shalom in Falls Church, Virginia.
