The ex-lawyer was born Robert Hunter Biden in Wilmington, Delaware, on February 4, 1970. He is the second son of parents Joe Biden and his wife, Neilia. Joe had worked in the U.S. Senate starting from 1973 to the end of 2017 when he vacated his position. In 1972, Hunter’s mother and sister, Naomi, were victims of a car crash that took their lives. Although Hunter and his brother Beau were also in the car when the accident happened, they managed to survive, albeit injured.

To further his studies, Hunter attended Georgetown University from which he graduated with a degree in history in the year 1992.
