The American actress, Kim Victoria Fields, was born in New York, the United States on May 12, 1969. She is best known for her roles as Regine Hunter on the Fox sitcom ‘Living Single’ (1993–1998), and as Dorothy “Tootie” Ramsey on the NBC sitcom The Facts of Life (1979–1988). An older sister of actress Alexis Fields and the daughter of actress and director Chip Fields Hurd, Fields attended Burbank High School in California and later Pepperdine University from which she graduated while on a hiatus from her acting career.

Kim started her professional performance career on television, playing a role in the short-lived television series, “Baby, I’m Back” in the 70s, and in various guest roles on such shows as “Mork & Mindy” and “Good Times”. In 1979, she was cast in the role that eventually turned her fortunes around, as Tootie in the sitcom “The Facts of Life”. She would maintain the role until 1988, and also guest-appeared on “Diff’rent Strokes”, playing the same character. Throughout the early to mid-80s, she also appeared in various television films.
