Legendary Film Producer, Kunle Afolayan Loses Mother To Death

Condolences flood in for veteran Nollywood actor Kunle Afolayan, who has lost his beloved mother, Adesola Afolayan.

In the past, the legendary actor’s son made news for causing alarm among netizens with a viral video.

Afolayan took to Instagram to grieve his mother’s death, calling her as irreplaceable and appreciating her eternal legacy.

According to the actor, his mother, an exceptional woman, died at the age of 81.

Although he did not reveal the circumstances of her demise, Kunle Afolayan asked supporters to keep his family in prayer as they go through this tough period.

His message states, “”It’s difficult to understand, but she truly lived a fulfilling life. Our beloved mother, Maami Omoladun Ayanladun Afolayan (1943-2024), has passed away.”

” She was survived by her children and grandchildren. Please keep us in your prayers“.

Not long ago, in preparation for the second season of the Netflix series Anikulapo, director Kunle Afolayan and his crew travelled to Accra, Ghana, for additional filming scenes.

The crew arrived on Sunday to begin shooting the film, and veteran filmmaker Tunde Kelani announced it on Instagram and Facebook.

It reads: “Arriving Accra’s Kotoka International Airport this morning with the Team of Anikulapo the Series,” Kunle Afolayan finished filming the Nigerian sequences for Anikulapo Season 2 on Wednesday, September 11, at the KAP Film Village in Igbojaye.

Sola Sobowale, Taiwo Hassan (Ogogo), Aisha Lawal, Bimbo Ademoye, Moji Afolayan, Eyiyemi Afolayan, Ronke Oshodi Oke, Owobo Ogunde, Lateef Adedimeji, and Oyindamola Sanni are among the returning cast members from Season 1.
