“MI Is The Greatest Rapper Alive But I Am Better” – Jesse Jagz Declares
In a recent conversation on the Big Talk 108 podcast, Jesse Jagz referred to his brother MI Abaga as the finest rapper in Africa.
Speaking about his older brother MI Abaga’s legacy, Jesse Jagz described him as an artist who pushed him to be the greatest version of himself.
“MI is the greatest MC ever in Africa,” Jesse claimed on the podcast, which also included details about his early career as an artist.
Jesse Jagz’s high opinion of MI Abaga is shared by many hip-hop fans, who regard the multi-award-winning rapper as a dominant force in popularising Nigerian hip-hop.
While Jagz considers his older brother Africa’s finest rapper, he also believes he is the superior rapper of the two, a position that MI has previously backed by identifying Jagz as Nigeria’s greatest lyricist.
In the interview, Jesse Jagz stated that MI Abaga, who taught him how to be Jesse Jagz, is responsible for a large portion of his accomplishment.
“It was MI who taught me how to be Jesse Jagz…MI taught us Ice Prince and me how to become an MC that will be respected forever.”
Nigerian music fans will always remember Jesse Jagz, MI Abaga, and Ice Prince’s contributions to their success as solo musicians and as members of the renowned Choc Boiz combo.
