Nigerian Media Executive, Ehijie Ebhodaghe, Wins Digital Innovation Award in the United Kingdom

Renowned Nigerian media entrepreneur and broadcast consultant, Ehijie Jeffery Ebhodaghe, has been honoured with the Outstanding Corporate Excellence in Digital Innovation and Inclusive Impact Award at the African UK Trade and Investment Awards 2025, held in London.

Ebhodaghe, who serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer of Jeffwise Media Global Limited, received the prestigious recognition for his exceptional contributions to digital innovation, inclusion, and creativity in the global media and broadcast industry.

The award ceremony, which took place at the Royal National Hotel, London, was part of a week-long UK Trade & Investment Conference organized in partnership with the African Chamber of Trade and the International Business Council.

Speaking after receiving the award, Ebhodaghe expressed gratitude for the honour, describing it as “an encouragement and motivation to do more.” He added, “It’s fulfilling to see our efforts in promoting innovation and inclusivity in the creative industry being recognized on an international platform.”

Originally from Iki Opoji, Esan Central Local Government Area, Edo State, Ebhodaghe’s journey into the media world began as a teenager fascinated by his church’s media operations. After earning a degree in Political Science from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, he began his professional career in broadcasting, working with several notable Nigerian media houses, including EBS, NTA Benin, Kaftan TV, and Wazobia TV.

His passion for visual storytelling later led him to the United Kingdom, where he earned a Master’s degree in Digital Media from the University for the Creative Arts, Surrey.

Today, his company, Jeffwise Media Global Limited, operates as a multimedia and broadcast consultancy firm based in the UK. The company provides services in film production, digital marketing, live streaming, and media training, and also runs a multimedia academy offering certification courses in journalism, broadcast engineering, and video production.

Despite challenges such as funding constraints in Nigeria and cultural barriers in the UK, Ebhodaghe remains committed to advancing African storytelling. “I am proud to fly the Nigerian flag abroad. Our resilience and creativity inspire me to tell our stories and project Africa positively to the world,” he said.

His upcoming short film, which explores the lives of Nigerian migrants in the UK, delves into themes of cultural integration, faith, and moral values in modern society. “It’s a story about balancing survival with values in a foreign land,” he explained.

Looking ahead, Ebhodaghe plans to expand Jeffwise Media’s global presence and collaborate with international platforms such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, and the British Film Institute to promote African narratives to a wider audience.

Concluding his remarks, he said: “With this award comes greater responsibility. I want to inspire young Africans to never give up on their dreams — start small, think big, and act positively.”
