He dealt with learning disabilities as a child and received little formal education before leaving school at 15 in a quest to find work.

He did several menial jobs like a plumber, laborer, and toolmaker. Ozzy had a brush with the law in his teenage days when he broke into a clothes store and had to spend five weeks in Winson Green Prison.

The group went on a number of shows before they split. Ozzy and Butler got back once again and invited Bill ward and Tony Iommi to form the band “Polka Tulk Blues”. Subsequently, they renamed the band “Earth” before settling for “Black Sabbath.”

The group released their first album titled ‘Black Sabbath’ in 1970. In that same year, they released a second album, ‘Paranoid’. And it debuted on several charts including the United Kingdom Album chart and Dutch Album charts.

After several albums with the band ‘Black Sabbath, Ozzy left the group and decided to go solo. His reason for leaving was a fight he had with Tony Iommi And Geezer Butler.

He embarked on a solo project, a band called ‘Blizzard of Ozz’. His debut album with this band was a self-titled album that was made available in 1980.
