Princess Kate’s Ultra-Chic Burgundy Blouse Makes a Statement for Autumn/Winter Fashion
On Thursday, one month to the day after announcing the completion of her preventative cancer treatment, the Princess of Wales resumed official public duties for the first time.
On July 29, Princess Kate and Prince William paid a heartfelt visit to Southport to meet first responders, survivors’ families, and survivors of the city’s brutal knife assault at a Taylor Swift-themed dance class.
For the emotional occasion, the Princess donned a subdued, muted attire that not only proved her knack for dressing appropriately for any occasion, but also illustrated how to do so while being on trend with the latest fashion designs.
Kate wore a gorgeous, longline brown wool jacket paired with a burgundy polka dot top for a subtle pop of colour.
Though the polka dot design is classic, it has experienced a successful rebirth in recent seasons, from the runway to the red carpet.
After Miu Miu, Marni, and Loewe used polka dots in their collections, the fashion world quickly followed suit, from Jennifer Lawrence in Dior at the 2024 Oscars to Dua Lipa’s ‘La Vacanza’ collection with Versace.
