VDM Praises Speed Darlington After His Apology To Burna Boy

After publicly apologising to musician Burna Boy, activist Vincent Otse, commonly known as VDM, took notice of Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington.

A friend claimed they hadn’t heard from Speed Darlington in a few days, which led to the earlier rumour that he was missing.

It was eventually made public that the rapper had been taken into custody. With the assistance of attorney Deji Adeyanju, Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, was freed from police prison on October 9.

He clarified that his remarks were made for entertainment purposes only and were not intended to bring disgrace upon his colleague’s name in a public apology issued through his legal team after his release.

Many were taken aback by Speedy’s apologies, and VDM’s endorsement of the rapper’s responsibility was a noteworthy response.

Recall, Speed Darlington had earlier today apologized to Burna Boy.

Stan Alieke, Speed Darlington’s attorney, addressed the matter in an official Instagram message that followed his client’s recent release from jail.

A petition against Speed Darlington was submitted by Burna Boy, which led to his detention.

According to Alieke’s statement, Speed Darlington is well-known for his cheerful and fun content, which aims to make people smile rather than insult.

Alieke clarified that his controversial videos were meant to be funny rather than offensive. Speed Darlington never intended to offend Burna Boy’s mother, the attorney explained, referring to the comment as a simple “slip of the tongue.”

Speed Darlington has quietly gone out to Burna Boy and his team to offer more details on the situation and to extend an olive branch in an attempt to ease any remaining animosity.

He wants to make sure that there are no bad feelings between the two parties and that the problem is resolved amicably, which is why he is making this kind gesture.

In order to dispel any confusion and emphasise that Speed Darlington has no malice against Burna Boy or his family, Alieke made this statement.

Rather, it assures the public that the matter has been duly considered and handled with respect, while also highlighting the artist’s aims to bring about peace and harmony.
