The Lagos State Government has announced the opening of applications for the 2026 Cohort of the Public Service Accelerator Programme (PSAP), a leadership development initiative designed to strengthen capacity within the state public service and prepare a new generation of transformative public sector leaders.
The programme, coordinated by the Lagos State Ministry of Establishments and Training, is targeted at high-performing civil servants who are committed to driving innovation, improving service delivery, and supporting the implementation of government policies and reforms.
Applications will officially open on June 22, 2026, and eligible officers are encouraged to submit their applications before the closing date of July 3, 2026.
About the Public Service Accelerator Programme (PSAP)
The Public Service Accelerator Programme is a structured leadership and professional development programme aimed at equipping civil servants with practical skills, strategic thinking abilities, and leadership competencies needed to address contemporary governance challenges.
Through a combination of classroom learning, mentorship, practical projects, and collaborative activities, participants will gain exposure to modern public sector leadership practices and innovative approaches to public service management.
The programme also supports the delivery of the Lagos State Government’s T.H.E.M.E.S+ agenda by empowering officers to contribute more effectively to policy implementation and institutional development.
Programme Duration
PSAP is a three-month hybrid programme that combines both virtual and in-person learning experiences.
Participants will engage in intensive leadership development activities designed to improve their effectiveness, productivity, and impact within the public service.

Eligibility Requirements
Applications are open to:
- Lagos State Civil Servants currently on Grade Levels 12 to 14
- Officers serving across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs)
- Officers currently on Grade Level 10 who are awaiting confirmation of promotion to Grade Level 12 from the most recent promotion exercise
Applicants are expected to demonstrate commitment to public service excellence and leadership development.
