The Federal Ministry of Youth Development has announced a new content challenge that will give young Nigerians an opportunity to use their creativity and social media platforms to help others discover government-backed opportunities.
The FMYD Youth Opportunities Content Challenge was announced by the Minister of Youth Development, Comrade Olawande Emmanuel Ayodele, during activities marking the 2026 International Youth Day, themed “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations.”
According to the Minister, the challenge is designed to encourage young Nigerians to find available government opportunities, understand them and creatively share the information with others who may benefit.
Content Challenge Guidelines and Prizes
The Federal Ministry of Youth Development is expected to release more information about the challenge shortly.
The official guidelines, content categories, application timeline and prizes have not yet been announced.

Government Youth Programmes
Speaking about the initiative, the Minister said the government is working to ensure that young Nigerians can “see, touch and feel” the impact of its youth-focused programmes.
He disclosed that 239,726 young Nigerians have gained digital, employability and other practical skills through the Nigerian Youth Academy.
The government is also supporting young entrepreneurs through NiYA StartUp, expanding access to credit through YouthCred, and creating opportunities through the Youth Agricultural Land Trust Fund and the Presidential Metering Initiative.
Who Can Participate?
The challenge is targeted at young Nigerians, particularly those who can use social media and digital content to create awareness about government opportunities.
However, the exact eligibility requirements will only be confirmed when the official challenge guidelines are released.
For now, interested youths should watch out for the official announcement of the application process, categories, deadlines and prizes.
