Stanbic IBTC has Opened portal for 2026 Internship Applications for Nigerian Undergraduates
Stanbic IBTC Holdings has opened applications for its 2026 Blue Internship Programme, giving Nigerian undergraduate students an opportunity to gain work experience and professional training within one of the country’s leading financial institutions.
The internship programme is designed to help students understand how corporate organisations operate while building practical skills that can prepare them for future careers in banking, finance, and related industries.
According to Stanbic IBTC, the programme also helps identify and develop young talent for future opportunities within the organisation.
Selected participants will receive:
- Hands-on work experience
- Exposure to banking and corporate operations
- Mentorship from professionals
- Training in communication, teamwork, leadership, and business operations
- Networking opportunities with industry professionals
- Career development experience that can strengthen their CVs
To qualify for the programme, applicants must:
- Be undergraduate students with at least one semester completed
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 or Second Class Upper equivalent
- Study Accounting, Finance, Law, Insurance, Information Technology, Economics, or related courses
- Show strong academic performance and leadership potential
- Possess good communication and analytical skills
- Be available for the internship from July 1 to September 30, 2026
Stanbic IBTC said the programme is aimed at helping students move beyond classroom learning by giving them exposure to real workplace environments and professional responsibilities.
The initiative also reflects the growing focus by major companies on youth development and employability in Nigeria.
Applications for the 2026 Blue Internship Programme will close on May 20, 2026.
