The Federal Character Commission (FCC) has hosted the Secretary of the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) as part of efforts to promote fairness, equity, and transparency in Nigeria’s paramilitary recruitment process.

The development was disclosed on Monday, May 18, 2026, through the FCC’s official communication channels, where the commission reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for Nigerians across all regions and backgrounds.

The commission emphasized that public service employment must reflect fairness and national representation in line with constitutional principles.

What This Means for Applicants

The engagement between the FCC and CDCFIB signals continued government attention toward transparent and equitable recruitment into Nigeria’s paramilitary agencies. For applicants, this could help strengthen accountability and fairness throughout the selection process.
