Assassination attempts: Trump’s survival miraculous, says wife
Melania Trump, the former First Lady and wife of ex-President Donald Trump, has referred to her husband’s survival of two assassination attempts as “miracles,” according to a report by Sky News on Friday.
Currently in New York following the second attempt on her husband’s life, Melania praised the security team, stating, “The people around him were incredible. Both incidents felt like true miracles. It’s as if something was protecting him… almost like the country really needs him.”
Donald Trump, who is vying for another presidential term against Vice President Kamala Harris, has faced two serious threats to his life. The first occurred in July 2024 when a 20-year-old assailant, Thomas Crooks, opened fire at a political rally in Pennsylvania, prompting Secret Service agents to swiftly escort Trump to safety.
In her comments, Melania expressed frustration over the negative attention directed at her husband, urging the opposition Democrats and the media to cease their attacks. “Is it really surprising that such extreme violence targets my husband? Especially when we hear leaders from the opposing party and mainstream media labeling him a threat to democracy and using derogatory language against him? This has to end,” she asserted.
