Filly’s Show Pulled Out From Internet By FA
Following Yung Filly’s arrest on allegations of rape and sexual assault, the Football Association reportedly cancelled an online culinary series featuring him.
The 29-year-old rapper and YouTuber, real name Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, was detained in Brisbane and deported to Perth on Wednesday.
The series, Freestyle Cooking with the FA, was unveiled on the same day as part of the FA’s Greater Game campaign, a collaboration with M&S Food to promote healthy eating among youth aged 12 to 16.
England footballers Jarrod Bowen, Bukayo Saka, and Ezri Konsa were set to star in the series on the FA’s social media platforms, as well as Filly’s Instagram and TikTok accounts.
However, according to Metro.co.uk, the English Football Association has quickly responded to news of his detention by cancelling the series and all related advertising materials.
Meanwhile, The Independent reports that Warner Records has placed any scheduled music releases on hold pending the conclusion of the litigation, despite having already released tracks such as Grey through the company.
The Standard has contacted both the FA and Warner Records for comment. The reports come after Filly was granted bail following her appearance in an Australian court on rape and assault charges.
The internet personality was arrested in Brisbane on Tuesday and extradited to Perth, where the alleged crime happened.
The social media sensation appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Thursday, when the accusations were read but no plea was recorded, according to the PA news agency.
