Sir Elton John Shares Heartbreaking Concerns: Sons Worried About Losing Him

Sir Elton John has mused on his mortality, revealing that his sons are concerned about his death.

In a teaser of his new documentary, Elton John: Never Too Late, the 77-year-old said of his later life, “I don’t know how much time I have left.”Elton’s husband David Furnish and RJ Cutler will helm the film, which will look back on the I’m Still Standing singer’s career.

According to PA, video from the documentary shows the star discussing life and death.”I wonder what will happen to all of this when I finish? This is the later part of my life. I am not sure how much time I have left.

“And you start to think about it more as you get older. You think about life and death. You think: “Well, I just want to be where I want to be right now.”

I don’t have to work after this tour. I’ll be working on records and putting together radio shows, among other things, but travelling exhausts you.

He went on to say, “It is quite taxing. “I’m used to it and a veteran, but this is where you start to think about mortality.”The Rocket Man hitmaker went on: “I wonder what will happen to all of this stuff when I finish? This is the later part of my life.

Elton admitted that his children, Zach and Elijah, “think about his demise.” He stated: “They worry about my mortality because they know how old I am.”

Elton has two sons with his 61-year-old husband, David. The pair married in 2014, and their eldest child, Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John, was born via surrogacy in 2010.

In 2013, the couple announced the birth of their second son, Elijah Joseph Daniel-Furnish, using the same surrogate they used to bring Zachary.

Earlier this week, Elton made a rare comment about his sons, revealing that his life has “changed for the better” since having Elijah and Zachary.
