Veekee James Recalls Her Relationship With Abusive Ex Boyfriend

Fashion designer Veekee James talks about how she went evangelistic to win souls for Christ and met her violent ex-boyfriend.

She mentioned this in an online interview with Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Harvesters’ pastor.

She claimed that she had met her partner while working for the church, bringing people to Christ. She observed that after playing along for a few months, the man gradually started to transform her into the person she had never intended to be.

Veekee James claimed that in addition to forcing her to quit attending church and start going out to clubs, he also started abusing her.

Veekee James describes how she started a business and outfitted her ex-boyfriend’s flat, only to be used and dumped by him.

The designer described going through hell in her previous relationship during a live session with Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC) Senior Pastor Pastor Bolaji Idowu.

James, who is blissfully married to Femi Atere, said that she had a boyfriend while attending college and worked hard to see him flourish.

Veekee claims that she flew from Akwa Ibom to Lagos in order to buy the supplies she would need to open a unisex salon for her then-cheating ex-boyfriend.

“I took a night bus to Lagos with his mother to get supplies out of love, and then I returned to Akwa Ibom to open a store for him.”

“I put down the money because I wanted him to start a business, but the worst thing was that as I was leaving, he was already making plans to visit him with his ex-girlfriend when I checked his phone.”

“He claimed they were merely kidding and playing along, but he lied to me and apologised. Despite my forgiveness, I took the bus to Lagos. I returned and let the store open.”

She then said, “I opened the unisex store in Uyo for him and I refused to take certain percentage from the profit.””
