“Winning” Producer Clarifies Stance On Psquare Feuds
Vampire Grace, a Nigerian music producer, has made a statement distancing himself from the ongoing rivalry between P-Square’s twin brothers, Paul Okoye (Rudeboy) and Peter Okoye (Mr P), over the publication of their single ‘Winning’.
The feud resurfaced on Friday, when Rudeboy claimed ownership of ‘Winning’ and claimed that Mr P had recorded the song “word for word” with the same producer.
This new clash has reignited long-standing tensions between the brothers, who reconciled in 2021 after years of separation but now appear to be at war once more.
Vampire Grace responded to Rudeboy’s recent allegations that his brother re-recorded and published the tune without his permission, stating that he simply contributed to the song’s production and had no participation in its future publication.
Taking to Instagram, Vampire Grace wrote, “I produced and recorded Winning for P-Square in 2022. I sent the stems to P-Square for mixing and mastering, got paid, and left Lagos. Two years later, one Square released the song. How is that my fault? Am I managing P-Square?”
Recall, Rudeboy, one half of P-Square, has stated that the group has split up again after reconciling.
The trio, which includes Paul and his twin brothers, Peter Okoye aka Mr P, split in 2016, but reconciled in 2021.Rudeboy confirmed in a recent interview with Lagos’ City FM that the trio had split up again.
“The aim for our reunion was to release a number of successful albums. But right now, all I can think of is Rudeboy. Trust me, it’s not everything I’d like to say,” he explained.
