Wizkid “Kese Dance” Breaks Record On First Day Stream

Afrobeats superstar Wizkid breaks the previous record set by Davido’s “Awuke” with his most recent single, “Kese,” which received over 1.5 million Spotify plays upon its initial release.

Wizkid’s most recent single, “Kese,” off his album “Morayo,” comes right after his most recent single, “Piece of My Heart,” which featured American musician Brent Faiyaz. Notably, on its premiere date.

Wizkid’s “Piece of My Heart” surpassed one million Spotify plays, marking a remarkable milestone.

A recent music chart released by Chart Data reveals Wizkid’s impressive dominance, occupying the top two spots as the highest-streamed songs in Nigeria on their debut date, with “Kese” claiming the top spot and “Piece of My Heart” taking the runner-up spot.

Asake’s Grammy-nominated song “MMS” from his album “Lungu Boy”, featuring Wizkid, dominates the third spot with 870,000 streams.

Notably, this groundbreaking milestone has solidified Wizkid’s position as one of Afrobeats’ most iconic artists.

Recall, Daniel Regha, a well-known critic, causes controversy with his frank assessment of Wizkid’s most recent number-one single, “Dance.”

Notably, Wizkid’s most recent track, “Dance,” has topped music charts on all platforms and received high praise from both fans and colleagues in the industry.

Daniel Regha recently called Wizkid’s most recent release his most outstanding to date in a tweet on X (previously Twitter).

Daniel Regha pointed out that some of the song’s lyrics are repetitious and said that the most recent release lacks any noteworthy lyrics.

“Wizkid’s “Kese (Dance)” is among his greatest songs in years,” according to his tweet.

The lyrics aren’t particularly great, but they’re unique and contain fewer cliches. “The reference to “Cana” in the second verse is totally superfluous, and he ought to have pushed a bit harder in the first verse.”

Nevertheless, the song’s appealing beats and tone make it easy to fall in love with. A strong 5 out of 10. No disrespect.
