Giovanni Pernice Slams Amanda Abbington’s ‘False’ Accusations

When Amanda Abbington’s cancer scare forced her to leave Strictly Come Dancing, she was relieved.

The 50-year-old actress later accused professional partner Giovanni Pernice of bullying and abusive behaviour after she withdrew from the Latin and ballroom competition in week six of last year, citing personal and medical reasons.

However, she has since disclosed that she was also coping with a health issue at the same time after discovering lumps in her breast.She told The Sun on Sunday:

“By my final week, on the Thursday morning, I was in the shower and I found two bumps. A few months prior, I had undergone a mammography and received the all-clear.

“I went in for rehearsals to dance the cha-cha-cha and just couldn’t concentrate. ‘There’s no sense teaching you stuff since it’s not going in,’ Giovanni stated. It is beyond your grasp. It’s a miracle we make it through because you’re worthless.
