Adam Thomas Gets Candid About Health Issues: ‘Two Years of Pain Have Left Me Struggling’
Adam Thomas, star of Waterloo Road, has stated that he is ‘finding it hard to walk again’ due to his arthritis.
The Strictly Come Dancing star has rheumatoid arthritis and shared a health update on Instagram.
In February, he discussed how he is dealing with the disease, which affects one percent of the UK population. Chronic autoimmune and inflammatory disease produces joint discomfort, oedema, and stiffness.
He has provided regular updates on his medication and trip, but lately disclosed that the side effects were ‘simply too much’ for him, so he discontinued the methotrexate injections.

Along with photographs from the hospital, Adam said on Instagram: “So for those of you that know, I’ve been on my methotrexate injections for quite some time and the side effects were just too much for me, I’ve had enough, so I’ve decided to come off them.
“I’ve been off them for about 5 weeks now and haven’t taken anything, and the pain has definitely risen; it’s difficult to walk again, especially in the morning, and my wrists and fingers are just as painful, if not worse!”
