Madonna Sibling Dies At Age 63

The younger brother of Madonna, Christopher Ciccone, was a designer and artist who passed away at the age of sixty-three.

Family members confirmed his demise to TMZ, revealing that he passed away in Michigan on Friday, October 4, from cancer.

Early in his sister’s career, he had collaborated extensively with her, acting as tour director for The Girlie Show in 1993 and as art director for her Blond Ambition World Tour in 1990.

Along with being an artist, designer, and interior decorator, Ciccone also directed music videos for performers such as Tony Bennett (1997’s ‘God Bless The Child’) and Dolly Parton (for 1997’s ‘Peace Train’).

Less than two weeks have passed since the cancer-related death of Christopher and Madonna’s stepmother, Joan Clare Ciccone.

Anthony, the eldest brother of the siblings, also departed in February 2023. On November 22, 1960, Christopher Ciccone was born in Bay City, Michigan, to parents who were immigrants from Italy and France.

He has sisters Paula and Melanie, a brother Martin, siblings Madonna and Anthony. At the age of 30, his mother Madonna passed away from breast cancer.

His memoir Life With My Sister Madonna, which he published in 2008, shot to the top of the New York Times.

In a 1991 interview with The Advocate, Madonna revealed to Ciccone that he was gay, adding, “My brother Christopher and I have always been the closest members of my family.”

He continued by calling Ritchie a homophobe and saying that his sister was a “lonely person,” emphasising that it “truly is lonely at the top.”

But Christopher did state, “I couldn’t be more proud of her,” in a 2012 interview. She is a formidable opponent. Does she sound like Barbra Streisand? No. Is she a Martha Graham dancer? Most likely not. However, the combination of her skills has elevated her to a tremendous level and created a significant legacy for both her and myself.
