Superstar Nigerian musician Davido emphasises the influence of Afrobeat on the international music scene and how it has emerged as a popular option for working with artists from other countries.

Davido discussed how the rise in popularity of Afrobeats in Europe and America has influenced how people view Africa and its culture in an interview with Kiss Fresh UK.

“I spent a lot of time in Europe this summer. I noticed a shift in the scenery. Afrobeats is a popular genre. He underlined that even American musicians choose to perform Afrobeats over their own sound.

“Now, the narrative [about Africans] has changed,” he said, underscoring the fact that Africa’s growing cultural influence goes beyond music. In addition to music, there is appreciation for dress and cuisine.

Recall, Davido surprised fans with his kind gesture as he joined TikTok sensation Peller for a highly anticipated live performance.

Davido called Peller a few days prior to this collaboration, promising to join his TikTok live in order to increase his visibility and help him become more famous.

The TikToker was ecstatic when the well-known artist gave Peller a highly sought-after 30BG diamond pendant and a pricey timepiece during the live session.

Peller expressed his appreciation on Instagram by writing, “We did it, thank you everyone,” as the caption for the photo. Thank you, King of Afrobeat @davido, for the opportunity 👑. Congratulations to us 🎊🎉🎊. You all made it happen.
