Applications are now open for the OCHF Business Growth Grant, a funding initiative aimed at supporting Nigerian entrepreneurs and small business owners who are actively building, stabilising, or scaling their businesses.

The programme provides targeted financial support to help MSMEs strengthen operations, improve productivity, and expand their reach in a challenging economic environment.

Selected applicants will receive a grant of up to ₦1,000,000, which can be invested in key areas such as equipment, inventory, marketing, business expansion, and operational improvements.

The initiative is implemented by the OCHF Foundation as part of its ongoing mission to empower MSMEs and promote sustainable entrepreneurship across Nigeria.

Grant Benefits

Successful applicants may access:

  • Business funding of up to ₦1,000,000
  • Capital support to expand operations and scale production
  • Assistance to improve service delivery and business structure
  • Increased business visibility through programme engagement
  • Access to entrepreneurial networks and support systems
  • Opportunities for long-term business growth positioning

Who Can Apply

The programme is open to:

  • Nigerian entrepreneurs across all regions
  • Small and medium-sized business owners (MSMEs)
  • Early-stage founders with viable business ideas
  • Existing businesses seeking expansion or stabilisation capital

Applicants are expected to show:

  • A functional or developing business model
  • A clear and practical plan for using the grant
  • Strong potential for growth, impact, and sustainability

Eligible Business Sectors

Applications are welcomed across multiple sectors, including:

  • Agriculture and agribusiness
  • Retail and general trading
  • Services and consultancy
  • Manufacturing and production
  • Fashion, beauty, and creative industries
  • Technology and innovation-driven businesses

Impact on Small Businesses

Many small businesses in Nigeria struggle to access affordable funding, especially at early or growth stages. Most commercial loans come with repayment pressure that can limit expansion.

This grant provides non-repayable capital that allows entrepreneurs to focus on building stronger operations whether through improved inventory, better tools, marketing reach, or service expansion. Over time, such support can improve business survival rates and stimulate local economic activity.
