Training has commenced for artisans admitted into the 2026 Industrial Training Fund Skill Up Artisans, SUPA, Program, with participants reporting to their assigned training centers this October.
Some training centers started activities from October 12, 2026, while another group of admitted artisans has been instructed to resume from Monday, October 19, 2026.
The resumption follows the nationwide screening conducted by ITF in July for applicants shortlisted under the 2026 SUPA Further Training Program.
ITF said the screening was introduced to ensure that people admitted into the program were genuine practicing artisans who were ready to improve their skills. The Fund is targeting 200,000 artisans nationwide under the 2026 training cycle.
Who Is Resuming for SUPA Training?
The current resumption is for applicants who:
- Registered for the 2026 SUPA program
- Were shortlisted for screening
- Completed the screening exercise
- Received an admission offer
- Accepted the offer through their SUPA account
- Were assigned a training center and trade
Successful applicants can see their admission information through their SUPA dashboard.
Admission letters issued for the 2026 training contain the participant’s trade, assigned training center, commencement date and training period.

The official portal allows participants to track their training progress after admission.
SUPA 2026 Training Duration
Admission information issued for the current training cycle shows a 16 week training period.
For participants whose training started on October 12, the period runs from:
October 12, 2026 to January 30, 2027.
Participants starting under another center should use the dates shown on their own admission letter.
Regular attendance forms part of the training requirements.
Admission information issued to trainees sets a minimum attendance requirement of 90 percent.
Participants who repeatedly stay away from training risk losing benefits attached to the program.
How Much Is the SUPA 2026 Stipend?
The 2026 SUPA training package provides a ₦35,000 monthly stipend for participants during the training period.
The stipend is intended to support trainees with transport and participation expenses while attending their assigned training.
Payment is linked to participation and attendance.
The 2026 SUPA program information lists the training as free and provides the monthly ₦35,000 support for beneficiaries.
This means participants should take attendance seriously throughout the program rather than registering and staying away from the training center.
ITF Director General Dr. Afiz Ogun also confirmed during the 2026 screening that government stipends form part of the SUPA program, while explaining that the screening was designed to stop people who register only to collect government money without taking part in training.
