CDCFIB Shortlist Portal 2026: How to Check Recruitment Shortlist for Oral Interview

The CDCFIB Shortlist Portal 2026 is now open for candidates who participated in the recently concluded physical and medical screening exercise for the 2024/2025 recruitment into the Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Federal Fire Service (FFS), and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).

The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has completed the assessment and shortlisting process for the next stage of the recruitment exercise.

Candidates who have been shortlisted can now check their status through the official recruitment portal and, where successful, proceed with the arrangements for the oral interview.

CDCFIB Shortlist Portal 2026

The official CDCFIB recruitment portal is:

https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng

Candidates should use this portal to check their recruitment status and access information concerning the oral interview.

CDCFIB has stated that it will not send emails to shortlisted candidates. Applicants should therefore check the official recruitment portal rather than wait for an email notification.

Who Can Check the CDCFIB Shortlist?

The shortlist is for candidates who participated in the recently concluded physical and medical screening exercise for the 2024/2025 recruitment into:

  • Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS)
  • Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS)
  • Federal Fire Service (FFS)
  • Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC)

The assessment and shortlisting process has been completed, and successful candidates are being moved to the oral interview stage.

CDCFIB Shortlist Checking Dates 2026

The checking dates depend on the qualification category used during the recruitment exercise.

Graduate Category

Candidates who applied under the Graduate Category can check their shortlist status from:

Monday, August 31 to Wednesday, September 2, 2026

Graduate applicants should access the official recruitment portal during this period to see whether they have been shortlisted for the oral interview.

NCE/OND/SSCE Category

Candidates who applied with NCE, OND or SSCE qualifications can check their status from:

Monday, September 7 to Wednesday, September 9, 2026

Applicants should check according to the qualification category under which they applied.

How to Check the CDCFIB Shortlist 2026

Candidates can check their status by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official CDCFIB recruitment portal at https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng.
  2. Access the recruitment section using the details connected to your application.
  3. Check your application status on the portal.
  4. If you have been shortlisted, read the instructions displayed on your dashboard.
  5. Select an interview venue nearest to you.
  6. Choose an available interview date and time.
  7. Print your oral interview invitation letter.
  8. Keep the invitation letter and take it with you to the interview.

Candidates should carefully follow all instructions displayed on their individual dashboards.

What to Do If You Are Shortlisted

If your name or application status shows that you have been shortlisted, you will need to complete the next steps for the oral interview.

Shortlisted candidates should:

  • Confirm their shortlist status.
  • Select a nearby interview venue.
  • Select an available interview date and time.
  • Print their invitation letter.
  • Check the instructions contained in the invitation letter.
  • Appear at the selected venue on the scheduled date.
  • Follow the specified dress code.

Only candidates who have been shortlisted for the final exercise will be allowed access to the interview venue.

CDCFIB Oral Interview Dress Code

Shortlisted candidates should pay attention to the dress code stated in their invitation letters.

CDCFIB has instructed candidates to appear strictly according to the dress code specified in the invitation letter.

Candidates should not rely on unofficial dress-code information shared on WhatsApp, Facebook or other social media platforms.

Check your invitation letter for the exact instructions applicable to your interview.

Will CDCFIB Send an Email to Shortlisted Candidates?

No.

CDCFIB has stated that it will not send emails to shortlisted candidates concerning this stage of the recruitment exercise.

Candidates should therefore check the official recruitment portal for their status and any instructions concerning the oral interview.

If you do not receive an email, this does not by itself mean that you were not shortlisted.

Is the CDCFIB Recruitment Free?

Yes.

The CDCFIB recruitment process is free of charge.

Candidates should not pay anyone who claims to have access to the shortlist, interview slots or recruitment officials.

Applicants should also be careful with individuals who promise to secure employment in exchange for money.

Candidates should use only the official CDCFIB recruitment portal when checking their status:

Be careful with fake shortlist websites, social media posts and messages requesting personal information or payment.

CDCFIB has made it clear that shortlisted candidates will be able to access the relevant information through the recruitment portal and that emails will not be sent to candidates for this stage.

Candidates should also check the portal within the appropriate period for their qualification category.

Graduate Category: August 31 – September 2, 2026

NCE/OND/SSCE Category: September 7 – September 9, 2026

If you are shortlisted, complete the venue, date and time selection and print your invitation letter as instructed on the portal.
