The David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship Programme 2026/2027 is now officially open for applications starting May 15, 2026.

This fully funded undergraduate scholarship is available to qualified African students who wish to study at Covenant University or Landmark University in Nigeria. The programme is one of the most competitive academic opportunities in Africa, designed to support high-achieving students with strong leadership potential and a commitment to community development.

Applications will close on June 19, 2026.

About the David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship

The David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship is a flagship initiative created to support academically excellent African students who demonstrate leadership capacity and a desire to positively impact their communities.

The programme provides a full academic scholarship for undergraduate studies at Covenant University and Landmark University. It is designed to develop young leaders who will apply their education to drive change across organisations, communities, and African nations.

Successful applicants are selected through a competitive merit-based process that evaluates academic performance, leadership potential, and personal character.

Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship offers full financial support for the duration of the undergraduate programme, subject to the university’s standard course duration (up to 5 years).

What the scholarship covers:

  • Full tuition and academic fees
  • Coverage for the entire duration of study (based on approved programme length)

What the scholarship does NOT cover:

  • Travel expenses
  • Feeding or living allowances
  • Medical or health insurance
  • Any additional non-academic university charges

Applicants should plan for personal expenses outside academic fees.

Eligibility Requirements for David Oyedepo Foundation Scholarship 2026

To be considered, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Nationality Requirement

Applicants must:

  • Be citizens and permanent residents of any African country

2. Age Requirement

Applicants must be between:

  • 16 and 25 years old at the time of application

3. Language Requirement

Applicants must be proficient in:

  • Reading English
  • Writing English
  • Speaking English

4. Academic Requirements

Applicants must demonstrate strong academic performance, including:

  • Minimum of 240 and above in JAMB (for Nigerian applicants only)
  • At least 80% average or 4.0/5.0 GPA in secondary school results or transcript
  • Must have already started admission application into Covenant University or Landmark University

Selection Process

The selection process is highly competitive and merit-based.

Stage 1: Application Review

All submitted applications will be carefully assessed by a selection panel based on academic performance, eligibility, and leadership potential.

Stage 2: Shortlisting

Successful candidates will be shortlisted and invited for the next stage of evaluation.

Stage 3: Virtual Interview

Finalists will undergo an online interview conducted by the David Oyedepo Foundation team via video conferencing.

Final Requirements for Selected Candidates:

Applicants progressing to the final stage must present:

  • Proof of application to Covenant or Landmark University
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Original copies of all submitted documents

June 19, 2026
