FG N40,000 rice out of reach, Nigerians lament
Nigerians have once again voiced their frustrations regarding the challenges in obtaining the Federal Government’s subsidized rice priced at N40,000, which was introduced on September 6, 2024, in Abuja.
Agriculture and Food Security Minister Abubakar Kyari stated that those interested must present their National identification Numbers along with an Automated Teller Machine card for payment.
Despite this, many citizens have reported difficulties accessing the designated sales locations. In response to these issues, a representative from the agriculture ministry reached out to our correspondent on September 15, announcing that sales to non-civil servants would commence on Monday, September 16.
