“Olamide Never Helped Me” – Portable Roars

During a recent TikTok live stream, the controversial singer discussed his rise to prominence when Olamide appeared on his hit single Zazu Zeh in 2021, dismissing the notion that the rapper helped him gain popularity.

He clarified that, while Olamide assisted him, credit for his success does not go completely to the rapper.

He asked, “Was it Olamide who posted me and made me famous?” He is my helper, yeah, but I was already famous before he assisted me.”

“These are two separate things; he did not come to see me in pain. Everyone wanted to mingle with me at the time, which caused some issues.”

“But, let’s be honest, since Olamide assisted me, has he ever posted about me on his story? He asked, “I thank God for what he did, but what year did he help me?”

“It’s not the same feature I’ve been utilising to fend for myself all these years.”

Portable also mentioned other figures such as Tunde Ednut and Skepta, noting their achievements to his career while criticising industry insiders who he believes have blacklisted him.

He asked, “Did he ever post me or repost any of my singles? Don’t tell me nonsense. I helped myself, please! I’ve even been backlisted in the industry.”

“Abeg, if you do not see me, I will not see you! What are your thoughts today on Skepta, who collaborated with me? Tunde Ednut assisted me by publishing my freestyle; people were seeking for me even before Olamide.”

“Let me remind you everybody. If you don’t remember, I rose to prominence thanks to an old video. Nobody wants to associate with me anymore because they know I understand my rights.”

“I am a superstar, fuck you people!” Portable seethed. His speech has generated responses on social media, with many calling him ungrateful.
