Police Allegedly Asks Speed Darlington To Make Video Apology To Burna Boy
Nigerian police are reportedly forcing arrested singer Darlington Okoye, also known as Speed Darlington, to produce a public apology video for fellow artist Damini Ogulu, aka Burna Boy.
According to SaharaReporters, police authorities in Abuja, where Speed Darlington is being kept, believe Burna Boy’s reputation as a “superstar” warrants an apology.
“Police are putting pressure on Darlington to release a video and publicly apologise to Burna Boy.
“They keep telling him Burna Boy is a superstar and that he (Darlington) can’t beat Burna Boy,” a person acquainted with the matter revealed.
Speed Darlington was reportedly relocated from Owerri, Imo State, to Abuja on Wednesday as part of what looked to be a plan to put him to harsher torture.
According to sources, Darlington was transferred to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) and is now overseen directly by Dasuki Galadanchi, the Deputy Inspector-General (DIG) in charge of FID, who has taken over the case.
