Speed Darlington Transferred To Abuja Amidst Case With Burna Boy

It should be noted that Speed Darlington was detained for the second time in two months during his performance in Owerri, Imo State, as Deji Adeyanju revealed to the world on Wednesday, November 27, 2024.

The musician and controversial content generator was arrested for the first time on October 4, 2024.

The first arrest occurred after Speed Darlington released a contentious video in which he allegedly insulted his colleague Burna Boy, comparing him with American rapper Diddy, who has encountered legal troubles with the FBI over claims of sexual exploitation.

Shortly after the video went viral, Speed Darlington’s mother revealed to the public in a social media video that she had recently been alerted that he had gone missing after shooting a video about Nigerian music singer Burna Boy.

In her video highlighting her son’s incarceration, she went on her knees and begged the musician to “tamper justice with mercy” and release her only son.

She also urged well-meaning Nigerians to help Darlington because she does not live in Nigeria and does not want her son to remain in captivity.

This case is still developing as Deji Adeyanju has since granted a short interview with Daddy Freeze where he talked about defamation and how it is a civil case not a criminal one.
