FunnyBone Questions Omokri Over His Reply To Peter Obi

Funny Bone, a Nigerian comedian, has criticised former presidential adviser Reno Omokri for his recent online ridicule of Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential contender.

Omokri mocked Obi’s statement about his willingness to remain married even if his wife is unfaithful.

He brought up a scandal involving Baltasar Ebang Engonga, the Director General of Equatorial Guinea’s National Financial Investigation Agency (ANIF), who was caught having sexual relations with several women, including his brother’s wife, a cousin, and the President of Equatorial Guinea’s sister.

In light of this controversy, Omokri wondered how a man who is unconcerned about his wife’s infidelity could be concerned about corruption among government officials.

He also questioned whether the president prioritises public finances over his wife’s allegiance, considering the implications of the bank’s name.

“If you don’t care if your wife has extramarital affairs, how will you care if your officials embezzle government funds? Take a reasonable approach to the situation. Are you suggesting you’ll prioritise government money over your wife’s loyalty? So, why did you name your bank Fidelity Bank? If that is what you define as fidelity, is our money safe in your bank?”

A President who is unconcerned about his wife’s extramarital activities would produce a large number of Balthazar Ebang Engongas.

It is a pretty indecent thing to say, and it demonstrates disregard for the sacredness of marriage.

Such a person lacks the moral authority to be the President of Nigeria and may wish to relocate to a country where his lax morals are compatible with their way of life.

To even utter such a thing in public is disgraceful!” Funny Bone reacted to it in his comments area, lashing out at Omokri.

He wrote:

“Reno!!

This is beneath you.

Too low for your standards.

Too low. Learn to let some things slide.

This one, no enter, bro”.
