The Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) has announced that 76 feeders have been assigned to the Band A scheme in Jos and its surrounding areas.

In a statement released on Thursday, Dr. Elijah Adakole, Head of Corporate Communications at JEDC, explained that this initiative aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of energy distribution to customers.

Adakole mentioned that a seven-member team has been established for each feeder to ensure a consistent power supply, in line with the Band A electricity schedule. He emphasized that customers are expected to reciprocate this service by making timely and complete payments for their energy usage.

Additionally, Adakole revealed that starting November 1, JEDC will implement the long-awaited Feeders Management System and Bilateral Arrangements. This new system will allow consumers to benefit from a reliable and high-quality electricity supply according to their designated bands.

He highlighted that these initiatives are part of JEDC’s commitment to maximizing customer satisfaction. “There will be no more partial payments for electricity consumed; all monthly bills must be paid in full.

“Our feeder management teams are well-equipped to ensure that only those customers who consistently pay for their energy will receive uninterrupted electricity. We encourage customers to embrace this new scheme designed to enhance service delivery,” Adakole stated.
