Kanayo Kanayo Reacts To Davido New Interview, Backs Him

Kanayo O. Kanayo, a Nollywood veteran, has expressed his support for Afrobeats singer Davido following his recent statements regarding Nigeria’s struggling economy.

In a contentious interview, Davido cautioned African Americans against relocating to Africa, using Nigeria’s dismal economic situation as an example.

The statement has sparked a significant response, which has grown steadily since the interview.Kanayo, in an Instagram video posted from the UK, encouraged Nigerians to accept Davido’s right to free expression.

The actor denied calls for Davido to apologise, emphasising the singer’s desire to speak for regular Nigerians despite his wealthy status.

“Nigerians should leave Davido alone about his comment; it is free speech, and he made it in good faith.” It is on to those in authority to work more to create a better Nigeria.”

“We need to build a better Nigeria,” he stated somewhat. He said, “Some people believe he should apologise; for what? He is Nigerian, and he made his declaration in good faith.”

“Those that criticise us want the best from us. Davido and his family can eat well, but he speaks for countless Nigerians who cannot.”
