Miranda Hart Discloses Unexpected Twist: Couple Broke Up Before Romantic Proposal and Whirlwind Wedding

Miranda Hart has claimed that she and her husband separated for a “brief” amount of time before getting engaged during a romantic walk in Kew Gardens.

The 51-year-old actress revealed on The One Show earlier this week that she had secretly married, much to the joy of home viewers.

Miranda has now revealed up more about her relationship, stating that at one point, they “had to take a break” from their romance.

The TV personality described her marriage in her memoir, I Haven’t Been Entirely Honest with You, as “feelings were deepening.” And then. “We needed to take a break.”

She went on to say, “There were a couple reasons why, and we weren’t sure if the time was right to become a ‘us’. It was hard. It hurt my heart.

A lot. I wasn’t sure if that was the end or if circumstances would finally allow us to continue getting to know each other.

Miranda went on to say that while “there was a brief ghastly emptiness from the disconnection,” she “trusted that it would work out for the best, and I had capacity to cope with either direction that it might take” and they reconciled.

Miranda made the disclosure after speaking with The One Show hosts Alex Jones and Alex Scott about her relationship on Tuesday, October 8.
