Timaya Unveils Two Artistes He Was Impressed With While Collaborating

Timaya responded to enquiries about his collaboration with the late singer Kefee, who was a pivotal figure in Nigerian music during the 2000s, by saying that it was an experience he would never forget, surpassed only by his work with BNXN.

“She was a natural talent with the voice of an Angel,” Timaya remarked, recounting how he stood in awe of the late singer when he recorded the chorus and verse of their hit song “Kokoroko,” which was taken from her album “A Piece of Me.”

‘Cold Outside’, a duet with BNXN, was one of Timaya’s biggest hits of 2021. The Dancehall maestro claims that the song was created during a talk with BNXN FKA Buju, who quickly reproduced it.

“We were simply conversing and I said ‘It’s really cold outside’ and went upstairs. Timaya explained how the popular collaboration, which was created by Yung Willis, came to be.

“He had recorded the song before I returned,” she said.

Given that the Bayelsa-born Dancehall fusing sensation is widely appreciated by Nigerian mainstream music stars, Timaya’s admiration for the late Kefee and BNXN is evidence of both musicians’ talent.

Timaya, recently sparked an uproar of outrage when he called well-known pastor Apostle Johnson Suleman a “liar.”

The well-known musician claimed on his official page on the microblogging site X that Apostle Suleman frequently tells lies.”Apostle Sulaiman too LIE,” he wrote.

His assertion elicited many different kinds of responses from online users. Others chastised him for disparaging a Man of God, while others supported him.
