Yvonne Jegede Blasted For Going Bald In New Movie

Yvonne Jegede, an actress, faces criticism for going bald for an upcoming film part, proving her passion to her work and readiness to undergo radical adjustments for her art.

In an Instagram video, Jegede explained her decision, adding that she believes in fully committing to her roles, even if it means venturing outside of her comfort zone.

Going bald was important to her because it allowed her to fully immerse herself in the role she plays.

Furthermore, Yvonne stated that she is learning the Yoruba language for the role, demonstrating her commitment to correctly portraying the character.

“I love my job too much to not take risks…” I regard myself as a vehicle for conveying the appropriate message; if the script calls for it, I will do whatever is necessary to bring the story to life.

“Aside from this dramatic transformation, I’m learning to speak correct Yoruba. AJA is a love story. “A provocative story that will keep you on your toes,” she captioned the image.

However, her decision has elicited conflicting reactions from her admirers and followers. While some appreciated her efforts, others questioned the necessity of such a severe shift in light of technological improvements

Recall, in July 2024, Yvonne Jegede disclosed the heartbreaking loss of one of her children to cholera.

The actress broke the terrible news to her Instagram fans, revealing that she has been the sole financial supporter of three children, one of them, Olamide Ajimuda, recently died.

Jegede revealed that she first saw Olamide while he was in Primary 4, and that he was slated to progress to Junior Secondary School 3 following the summer vacation.

Unfortunately, the sickness ended Olamide’s life. In her article, Jegede also provided a bittersweet update on the outcomes of the two other children she helps, who recently graduated from high school.
