The Federal Ministry of Works has announced a final extension for applications into President Bola Tinubu’s Engineering Mentorship Programme, giving interested graduate engineers and skilled artisans more time to apply.
According to the ministry, the programme is aimed at helping participants gain practical experience through field training and mentorship on infrastructure projects across Nigeria.
The extension gives eligible applicants one last chance to submit their applications before the final deadline of July 28, 2026.
The programme is open to both engineering graduates and artisans, making it one of the few federal opportunities that cater to professionals as well as people with technical trade skills.

Graduate Engineers
Applications are open for graduates in the following fields:

- Carpenter
- Steel Reinforcement Worker
- Plumber
- Welding and Fabrication Worker
- Surveying Assistant
- Electrical Installation Worker
- Heavy Equipment Operator

- Curriculum Vitae (CV) or competency summary
- Trade Test Certificate or proof of experience (where applicable)
- Recent passport photograph
- Valid means of identification
- Local Government Area (LGA) certificate of origin
